Fri Nov 15 | 7:30p Cost of dinner: $15 per adult/$5 per child The Violins of Hope are a collection of string instruments that were owned and played by Jews before and during the Holocaust. They have been meticulously restored, and you can hear one of them played during our Shabbat service. Following the service, join Boston-based artist, Rachel Linsky, for a screening of her film celebrating the life and work of Mieczyslaw Weinberg, a Holocaust survivor known for his classical compositions infused with Jewish and Klezmer themes. The screening will be followed by live Klezmer music and dancing, featuring Ezekiel’s Wheels Klezmer Band. Funded in part by Aaron & Gertrude Martin Holocaust and Genocide Knowledge Fund.
